Super impressed with the donuts. Their glazed type donuts are some of the best in kansas city. I was so surprised and happy when I ordered a raspberry filled donut. The lady pulled out a donut from the display, took it to the back and at that point filled the donut with the jelly I asked for. There was NO time for the filling to get the entire donut wet. Fresh donut...fresh jelly...perfect process. I was a bit surprised they took credit cards on such a low cost item. I bought 6 or 7 donuts for about $7.

I've actually called Hana's to get an idea of what coffee shops they sell to around the city and what the delivery schedules are. Huge fan. So glad I discovered these sweet treats. This place is doing everything right in my opinion!

I give the place three stars its not the best donut place in KC I'm sure of. I think what gives this place the buzz is the fact that its original! The owner serves you and does pretty much everything. I prefer to go to shops like this versus Krispy Kreme or any other corporate owned franchise where the owner is oblivious to whats getting cooked. The variety is spectacular- flavors that you wont find on every donut. Good little donut shop. Everybody needs to try this place at least once. The only thing I request from the owner is lighten up in the amount of sugar- the donuts and toppings are great but maybe the need within the donut bread itself is not so much.

My kids give this place 5 stars. We liked the maple long johns, orange zest donuts and apple fritters. Service was friendly and fast. Donuts are huge if that's a factor in your donut choice. They accept credit and debit cards.

Hallelujah! I have found my donut place! I have been looking for a donut joint ever since moving to the area 1 1/2 years ago. I've had okay donuts, but I haven't been wowed. Hana's donuts wowed me. What has disappointed me about most donut joints is they don't know how to make a proper old fashioned donut--Hana's donuts makes some of the best I've ever had. Great, crisp texture (though lacking pedals, but that's a minor issue) on the outside and soft and sometimes gooey (where the glaze has soaked in) interior. Both the glazed and chocolate frosted--with its tasty, *very* chocolatey, ganache-like frosting-- were very satisfying. All of their cake-based donuts were great--good flavor and not dry at all. I especially liked the orange zest and red velvet. Another stand-out was the apple fritter. At first, I was put off because it is very thin, but that helps the fritter keep it's crunchy exterior and apple-goodness without so much of the extraneous dough parts. I'm not a yeast donut fan, but I had a bite of the chocolate frosted one and it was good. My husband said that it was breadier than most other yeast donuts but he liked it because it didn't seem so heavy and greasy that way. I think Hana's Donuts makes some of the best donuts in the KC area. Definitely give it a try--just remember that when you're looking for it the large storefront sign says Poston Donuts & Pastries (not sure if that's old or what, but I drove by it the first time not knowing the sign was old). Whatever its name is, it's sweet fried goodness.

I wrote a review for Hana's when it was Poston's, which I guess is gone now. It's still the same amazing service, great donut's, next to a police station, and worth the trip. I would say the variety is what makes this place stand out. She makes a lot of different types of donuts you can't get at Lamar's or KK. a bonus for being one of the only local donut shops to take credit cards.

these donuts are sooooooo good!!! there's a cream cheese filled donut that is incredible! i always walk away from donut shops with a maple longjohn but couldn't resist the cream cheese filled one and did not regret it! also the apple fritter and apricot donuts are delish. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

My favorite place to pick up donuts. THE BEST apple fritters. Hana also makes pastries outside of the donuts, but I usually see them on the weekend. Yummmm
